ALEKSANDER MOISIU MUSEUM HOUSE

House with gazebo built in the second half of the century. XIXth. In the 30s of the century In the 20th century, it was also the headquarters of the English consulate. This building has been declared a “Cultural Monument” for its architectural values. After its restoration in 1983, the “Popular Culture Exhibition” was established. In three exhibition rooms, the artisanal values ​​of the territory of our city and its surroundings are revealed. Two other rooms are dedicated to the figure of the actor of Albanian origin Aleksander Moisiu, named   “Aleksander Moisiu Museum Room”. Moisiu attended primary school in Durres, and therefore in 1928 he wrote his memories in outline form entitled “Childhood Dream”.
