Here is the largest Archaeological Park of the country, and you can see up close some of the most impressive ruins of antiquity in Albania, where the Monumental Center with the famous Buleterion stands out. Cicero had spoken of the importance of the city of Apollonia, and Octavian Augustus was educated right here before becoming the first Emperor of Rome. And as if the ruins or rare objects from thousands of years ago were not enough, Christianity has left its traces on the top of the hill, through the Monastery and the Church of Saint Mary.
