FARKA LAKE

In the 1980s, the artificial Lake of Farka was built, which is one of the largest lakes in Albania and is used for irrigation. The lake is located in the southern and southwestern part of the city of Tirana. The land around the Farka Lake covers an area of ​​11,000 m2 and a length of 760 linear meters. This area stands out for its biodiversity and attractive hilly landscape as well as natural heritage. Part of this heritage are objects, landscapes, ecosystems, special habitats, rare, relics, endemic or endangered species. As such, they have great ecological, scientific, cultural, didactic and touristic importance. Farka Lake is positioned very close to the national road, which makes it easily accessible for visitors.
