Among the fortifications erected by Skanderbeg to protect the country in the fight against the Turkish invasion, the Castle at Cape Rodoni, known as the “Castle of Skanderbeg”, which was built around 1460, is a part. The castle had a rectangular plan and was equipped with 4 defensive towers in each of its corners. It was destroyed by the Turks in 1467 and rebuilt by Venice 33 years later. Today, the main tower with a height of 10 m, and several protective walls with a thickness of 3.5 m are preserved.
