GJIROKASTRA CASTLE

Gjirokastra Castle is one of the largest in the Balkans. Like a huge stone ship, it spans a span of 335 meters. It is located on the hill from where the whole city can be seen, as if to witness the history of the entire region over the centuries. The date of construction of this fortification is still unclear. If the walls of Gjirokastra Castle could talk, they would tell many stories about the different civilizations and legends that have lived here for centuries.
