If you enjoy learning about Albania’s turbulent history, this is the place to be. The National Historical Museum is the most important museum in Albania, which contains all the well-documented Albanian history. The museum has 8 pavilions: Antiquity, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Independence, Anti-Fascist National Liberation War iconography, Communist Terror and Mother Teresa. The Hall of Communist Terror has photos, documents and videos that show the persecution of Albanians during the communist regime. A visit here can last up to 3 hours, if you take it easy and really want to learn something.
