Its construction began in 1986 and ended in 1988, serving as a museum in Hoxha’s legacy until 1991. It was inaugurated on October 14, 1988 as the museum of dictator Enver Hoxha. This structure was designed as an eagle’s wings, a symbol of the nation itself, but visible as such only from above. While from the point of view of the passerby it resembles a pyramid. A group of architects worked on its design under the direction of Enver Hoxha’s daughter and son-in-law. Known in everyday slang as the pyramid, it took place on the “Martyrs of the nation” boulevard, in one of the most nerve-racking points of the city. After 1991, it turned into a center for conferences and fairs. The Pyramid of Tirana will turn into the largest center for young people, mainly focused on digital education, information technology culture and art, culture and courses. professional or other youth spaces.
