The Historical-Archaeological Museum is a building designed by Italian architects and built by Albanians in 1918. Conceived as a “dormitory” for Italian soldiers, it never fulfilled this function. During communism, this building was known as the War Museum. Over the years and with the advent of democracy, the museum was given another content, dividing it into two pavilions. The Archeology Pavilion is located on the first floor, while the History Pavilion is on the second floor of the building.
