In beautiful Korça, behind the “Resurrection of Christ” cathedral, there is a characteristic house, in which one of the most important figures of impressionist visual art of the city of Korça and Albania of the 20’s lived. Vangjush Mio was considered a painter with many values and personality in Albanian painting. Nowadays, he is considered the first author of the professional art history of the 20th century. But one thing is accepted at both times and by all art connoisseurs: Vangjush Mio is the modern father of the Albanian landscape. Being an important figure of art, the house where the great painter lived is also of great interest. This house, after its complete restoration, has returned to the public. Vangjush Mio’s apartment is a house with rare architectural values.
