ZADRIMA VILLAGE

If you haven’t stopped in Zadrima, you can’t say you’ve been in Lezha. One of the four provinces into which Illyricum was divided in the Byzantine period, was Preval. In this province centered in Shkodër, Zadrima was also a part of that time. The ancient road Via Zenta crosses exactly Zadrima to continue towards Shkodra. Zadrima has special wedding rituals and family celebrations.Customs and traditions, clothing and various rites are fanatically preserved and still continue to be produced in artisanal ways. The name of the village of Blinisht comes precisely from the feudal family of Blinishte. Guljelm Blinishti was the marshal of Arbër. The various names of the area are related to the period of the 13th century and are named after Helena of Rasha (daughter of Count Baldwin of Flanders (France) and queen of Serbia) who undertook the repairs of the Lezhë-Shkodër road.
